Things to Consider When Getting Natural Looking Extensions

Not all lash extension lovers want the “fluff”, and if you are one of those people who’d prefer natural-looking extensions, there are certain things that need to be considered.

  • Curl – the “B” curl is a good start for a natural look and anything that’s curler than your natural eyelashes may not look like the regular ones. The “J” curl is another naturalistic style that you can choose.

  • Length – 15mm length is not recommended. The ideal length is 12mm and under.

  • Diameter – the lash extension’s diameter should match your eyelashes’ natural diameter or it should only be slightly thicker.

  • Color –black color is common but you may use brown to give you that extra “oomph” level for your natural-looking lash extensions. Stay away from unnatural colors!

Types of Natural Looking Lash Extensions

There are several types of natural-looking eyelash extension that you can choose from:

  1. Mink Eyelash Extensions – these come from Chinese minks and Siberian minks. Siberian minks are the most desirable because their fur is premium. This is a great choice for first timer who wants to achieve a natural look. It is fluffy and lightweight. But be sure that you’re not allergic or sensitive to animal fur. It’s expensive but worth it.

  2. Fox Lash Extensions – it’s also lightweight and natural-looking. However, animal furs will requires you to maintain the curl. You can do on your own or you can have its upkeep with your specialist.

  3. Sable Eyelash Extensions – this is finer and fluffier than mink. It’s possibly the lightest material but is usually recommended for those who have the finest natural lashes. Compared to mink, sable is not that readily available and you can rarely find it in salons. Again, if you’re allergic to animal fur, avoid using these types of extensions.

  4. Faux-Mink and Faux-Fox Lash Extensions – perfect for those who are allergic to the real ones mentioned above and you pay only at a cheaper price for these faux animal fur lashes.

  5. Volume Lashes/XD or Russian Lash Extensions – the latest trends today. You can choose 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D or even 6D lashes. About 2 to 6 ultra-weight lashes are applied to each of your lashes. It uses silk or mink but has different application methods, takes more time to apply and will cost more too.
