This is a common problem that we may be faced after doing an eyelash extensions. But why and how does this happen? To put it simply, a chemical reaction occurs where the adhesive which contains cyanoacrylate gets exposed suddenly to very high humidity or directly with moisture. The cyanoacrylate molecules link up and harden, causing the adhesive to turn white.
The most common reasons why eyelash extensions glue turns white include:
Teary eyes
Eyelashes contact with water before the adhesive is fully cured
Improper removal of eyelash extensions
Humid weather or environment in Singapore and Malaysia
Well, now we know the reasons why the glue turns white, how to prevent them from happening?
Wait until the adhesive is completely dry for 24 hours after the session.
Do not contact with water for 24 hours after the session.
Avoid extreme humidity or temperature variations for 24 hours after the session.
Avoid overusing primer or serum for the lashes.
